The presentation will address the spectrum from normal cognition through mild cognitive impairment and dementia, why it’s important to diagnose the condition causing cognitive impairment, how to encourage someone to seek diagnosis, and what is involved in dementia evaluation.

We will learn about the cognitive issues in 4 types of Movement Disorders: Parkinson’s, progressive supranuclear palsy, corticobasal degeneration, and multiple system atrophy. Additionally, we discuss ways to identify key differences between common types of dementia, including Alzheimer’s, Vascular, Frontotemporal Dementia and Lewy Body Dementia.
